Ferrofluid
Transformation

The Project

Developed in collaboration with Philipp Denghel.

This project explores transformation and the point where natural and artificial forces meet. The floating water represents something organic, while the magnetic dust and ferrofluid bring in structure, and technology. Together, they show how matter can shift between being passive and reactive. It’s about forces shaping what we see and how these physical processes mirror ideas of change, influence, and connection between nature and human-made systems.

On the technical side, I worked on the Chladni plate with magnetic dust and the water simulations, while Philipp focused on the ferrofluid. Together, we took care of staging, lighting, rendering, and composition, refining each stage through experimentation and close collaboration.
